You don't have to be Catholic to enjoy yourself... come along for friendly socialising, cheap drinks and great entertainment.

We were formed in 1963 by a group of men getting together and paying a subscription in order to put together some funds for the purpose of starting the Club.

Which became known as the Hebburn and District Iona Club.

The club was formed and moved into what was the Labour Club after having purchased the premises from the Labour Club. The Iona committee then applied for and received a Licence to serve drinks in 1963.The club thrived so well that the Committee applied to erect a new purpose built premises on a new site in the Hebburn Newtown, this being achieved the committee and members moved into what is the Hebburn Iona Club today in 1972.

We are members of the Alliance of British Clubs and the National Association of Catholic Clubs.

Guests and Affilliate members always welcome.
